About the Program

For our fifth year we are now offering a 10 day intensive program specifically designed for singers interested in taking their career, artistry and development to the next level. Singers will receive individual attention from our distinguished faculty. Work will focus on integrating vocal and musical skills with artistic ideas; language, diction, body movement, relaxation, and stage artistry - all culminating in a public performance at the end of the program. This inspiring program will change the way you approach your singing, performing, and presentation forever.

All participants are given the opportunity to sing and consult with leading agents, managers, coaches and conductors who will be in residence during the program. Artists will have a better understanding of their current strengths and future potential necessary for this extremely demanding and exciting profession.

Singers with strong vocal training and some performance experience are encouraged to apply. For the emerging artist this is a prime opportunity. There is no age restriction.

What you will receive at the institute:

Individual rooms with air-conditioning; outstanding training facilities; daily coachings; voice lessons; masterclasses on repertoire, artist management, marketing and press materials; stage artistry; audition workshops; Alexander Technique; and more.

Program is limited to 25 singers to allow for maximum personal attention.

WSVI participants have gone on to professional engagements such as: Pittsburgh, Aspen, Utah Festival, Opera Omaha, New Rochelle Opera, Wolf Artists International, NJ Verismo Opera
